About District 5

On February 20, 2025 the Frederick City Council voted to move forward with City Concil representation via districts. "By having a dedicated representative who understands the concerns and priorities of each district, this vote aims to enhance fair representation for all neighborhoods and strengthen community engagement in local government."

District 5 includes the neighborhoods north and west of 15, East of Rosemont, and in the areas surrounding Clover Hill. Neighborhoods include: Villa Estates, Amber Meadows, College Estates, Antietam Village, Governor’s Choice, North Crossing, Clover Ridge, Tuscarora Creek, Cannon Bluff, Ft. Detrick, Whittier and Kellerton. We are a population of 16,059.

We are racially and economically diverse. We live in single family homes, townhouses, duplexes, apartments, and condos.

District  5 is represented by the following Neighborhood Advisory Councils: NAC 2, 1/2 of NAC 6 (my NAC), part of NAC 3, Northern Part of NAC 1
